Everybody enjoys a little fun, and most people agree that Cafe Moda is the place to go for all the action.

The lumpia’s are pretty good, garlic fried rice is tasty and as Filipino as it can get and the sinigang is delectable!Cafe Moda

This place is also a Filipino Karaoke bar folks, so be prepared to be in a very loud, entertaining venue and with the Nanay’s and Tatay’s doing the cha-cha and bringing sexy back! Boba-tastic!

By vegasdeals. Posted in Coffee & Tea House | 1 Comment »

Volcano Tea HouseEveryone knew about the whole boba craze and how tapioca drinks was the new trend that everyone enjoyed. For those who do not know what boba drinks are, you’re definitely missing out! It’s typically a chewy, jelly ball included in certain drinks such as smoothies, coffee, slushies, and teas. Anyone can have a drink. But to actually drink something that satisfies your tastes buds and with a new twist is quite impressive. Well, here’s a place to continue that hype that offers great and friendly service. Volcano Tea House is in the heart of Chinatown and has a great selection of coffee, tea, and boba drinks. Besides drinks, they offer fresh food ready to order and provides a nice, comfy hangout.

Boba Milk Tea

“After I came back from my Vegas trip, I knew I was missing a review of this wonderful boba tea shop. I drank this same cup of tea for 6 hours. Yes, I was on the road for that long. Believe it or not, after the ice melted and when I only had a few pieces of boba left, this tea still tasted just as good.  The way I gauge my boba teas is by the quality of the boba’s and this place definitely does a fantastic job of preparing them. I mean anyone can use condensed milk and mix up a good tea. It is the soft yet chewy tasty bobas that make the difference. Customers are always coming back, even from outside of Vegas, for more!

T.C.’s Rib Crib uses only the best meat available that is cooked with their secret home made barbecue sauce and sure enough to satisfy your crave. They’ve received multiple awards such as the Best of Las Vegas 2007 – Las Vegas Weekly, Best Pulled Pork – LV Life 2007, and City Search Best BBQ. The owners of T.C.’s Rib Crib were evacuees of Hurricane Katrina and moved to Las Vegas. After losing everything in the disaster, they decided to restore their family recipe which has been kept secret since 1902 and only one member of the family knows it! There’s always been satisfied customers coming back hungry for more.

The Best of Las Vegas 2010

“I went to the rib crib based on reviews my brother-in-law acquired in the bay area.  I must go at the right time because I have not been disappointed.  I loved the ribs, the sauce and the pulled pork was to die for.  Every time I have gone it’s been very crowded.  The place is not much to look at but I found it very delicious and the help is very pleasant.  I would recommend this place to anyone who really enjoys ribs. I’ve been repeatedly disappointed at Famous Daves Barbeque, but I love the Rib Crib. Thumbs up from me.” – Jane V.

Proud to Be A Rebel!

By vegasdeals. Posted in Food, Italian | 3 Comments »

UNLVRight across from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, students can get some great food fast and cheap! Rebel Pizza is a great place to grab a quick bite in between or after classes. How awesome is it for a student to grab some quality pizza, off campus, and able to hang out with some close friends? The pizza is as cheap as $5 for a large pizza! That is an amazing price that definitely helps them stand out. Besides being proud supporters of UNLV, they definitely help out students who don’t have a lot of extra cash to burn. With the economy and the educational budget cuts, we definitely need another place to resort to.

“A large greasy cheese pizza for $5? Sign me up! Rebel Pizza is open 24/7 and located right across the street from UNLV. It’s decorated with UNLV jerseys and colors. The walls are full of notes from students, particularly those with Greek affiliation. Plus, the pizza’s gooood.” – Stacie R.Pizza

Rebel Pizza is located on 4440 S Maryland Pkwy Paradise, NV 89119.

Many customers are overwhelmed and are ecstatic to see stores like this. Rocket Fizz is truly unique and offers a great collection.

“All I could do when I walked into this store was smile.

It was like a piece of home followed me to Vegas.  There are MANY places in Orange County where I can find silly labeled root beers and leninade [get hammered and sickled hehehe] ,and violet mints… Maybe it’s because I haven’t really been out and about around town, but I haven’t found any of those things collectively or at all in Vegas.

The employees were helpful and slightly dorky, but endearing in the same.  It was clean.  There is a ton of variety here: tons of root beer, ginger beer, fruity colas, jolt, ramune [which you can't find just anywhere], and other misc hard to find beverages.  Also tons of vintage inspired candy… sassafrass hard candies are my fave but I sided with Chowards Violet Mints, my fave.

I’m glad I stumbled upon this cute establishment… It may be a place I’ll NEED to pass by on my way out of the city next week.

We’ll see.” - Keiko C.

Oyshi Sushi

By vegasdeals. Posted in Asian, Food, Japanese | 1 Comment »

Oyshi Sushi Interior

The word Oishii means delicious in Japanese, and there’s no need to explain why this buffet deserves its name! Oyshi Sushi is a restaurant style buffet where you simply order the food you want, and the servers will hand make the food immediately. The interior design of the restaurant is amazingly set to give a great feeling for lunch or dinner. It’s a modern look that screams fine dining! The food is amazingly delicious and is super fresh. You can tell this isn’t just one of those frozen food ready to serve type of meal. The menu is extensive and you can request from the chef to create your own roll! They have a full bar and private rooms for events. There are many satisfied customers hungry for more!

“THIS BUFFET IS HEAVEN!

Oyshi SushiEverytime I visit Vegas I will have to visit Oyshi. I live in Chicago and basically Oyshi’s sushi buffet kicks all the other sushi buffet’s butts in Chicago. Oyshi has a very contempory & modern decor to it, with a cool geisha painting on one of the huge walls.

My dinner at Oyshi was so fast, I couldn’t even comprehend the food I ate. For starters – the mussels are a MUST and so is the ahi poke which is very fresh tuna.

Their sushi selection on the menu is so vast you don’t even know what to order. If I had to pick only one sushi roll from the menu it would have to be the volcano roll.

The price is definitely worth this buffet which is around $26.” – Lauren P.

So definitely check out this all you can eat sushi restaurant!

Las Vegas Tofu HutOut at night and craving for some Korean BBQ? Hit up Las Vegas’ Tofu Hut! It’s a Korean restaurant that also offers all you can eat BBQ! The all you can eat your BBQ lets the customers decide which food they want and cook their own food. They offer a wide variety of delicious dishes such as spicy chicken, bulgogi, and kalbi beef. Each dish is very affordable and includes side dishes. The sides that they serve are cucumber, tofu, kimchee, Korean radishes, and a bowl of salad. If you prefer to eat BBQ, they charge $16.99 per person and serve short ribs, brisket, boneless chicken thigh, short rib-eye, and pork belly. Korean Kalbi

“Stopped by an old favorite last night: Tofu Hut on Spring Mountain (just east of Harbor Palace on other side). I was craving for some hot tofy soup with seafood, but noticed a huge sign in the window advertising their all you can eat bbq for $16.99. The wife and I had to have it! We’d been craving for korean bbq, but never got around to it.

Well, we were impressed! The amount of food provided was great. We like to share and we ordered half portions of about everything: bulgogi (deliciously marinated), marinated pork belly (like bacon but better), beef tongue (tin slices of beef carpacio), squid (bit too chewy for me), rib eye and short ribs. All this came with rice, a huge bowl of a very tasty salad en the usual assortment of kimchee and other interesting stuff. It all tasted great and goes well with a big bottle of Hite beer. Why does korean bbq go so well with beer?

And my check came to $44 for both! Areyou kidding me, this is the best value in town. Love this place. Ate soo much meat, I am now awake at 3am… need to eat more meat more regurarly and get used to it again…” – Frank V.

So drive on down and try out their amazing food. Tofu Hut is located on 3920 Spring Mountain Rd Las Vegas, NV 89102 and their phone number is (702) 257-0072
